Scott Hoatson is an Edinburgh-born, London-based actor and broadcaster, currently heard across the UK as a network continuity voice for BBC Television. He trained in Acting at Queen Margaret University (QMU) in Edinburgh.
Most recently, Scott appeared in Vienna performing in the Reduced Shakespeare Company’s The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged). His extensive international theatre work includes starring as Harry Potter in world tours of Potted Potter (US, Canada, Asia, Australia), Henry V and The Tempest (Shakespeare’s Rose Theatre), Romeo and Juliet (Piccolo Teatro di Milano), and productions with the National Theatre of Scotland, Royal Lyceum, Borderline, and Magnetic North.
Alongside three series of Bluestone 42 (BBC), screen and broadcast credits include Outlander (Starz / Sony), Case Histories (BBC), and Taggart (ITV). His voice and audio work spans regular network television continuity alongside drama productions for BBC Radio 4 and BBC Radio Scotland.
